It’s impossible to know what a mastering engineer brought to a song without hearing the mix they were handed. Here you can compare final mixes I received to their sound after mastering. Big thanks to the artists who have allowed me to share these here. I’ve listed the song titles and artist names, under which you will find two snippets. The first is the final mix I received, the second is the master I delivered.

For the audio nerds–I brought the peak level of the original mixes very close to 0db without using any limiting hoping to somewhat gain match with the masters. In this way, I hope increased loudness is not the primary focus. Otherwise, the mixes are exactly as I received them. I have left the mastered versions at their full level as a demonstration of the loudness at which I delivered these specific songs. Finally, all songs have been uploaded as mp3s to keep this page from loading slowly. Songs were received and delivered as wavs.
